Odile’s latest pop-up in Paris

The first thing to hit you as you walk in the well put together Parisian pop-up are the colours. The space is transformed into a visual feast for the eyes, a museum of colours and prints, and excitement starts to build when you remember that these works of art are intended to be worn. The week-long Odile’s latests pop-up in Paris at the Boutique Ephémère was a wild success, with a footfall of locals and tourists alike, it had that distinct Parisian fashion buzz about it.

The waxed-fabric designs looked beautifully inviting, with a choice of billowing midi and maxi dresses, tops with statement sleeves and even zip-up clutch bags. Each garment has an exciting print with a range of colours to choose from which would complement any skin tone or personal style.

Odile Jacobs, the creator of these African-European designs was honoured to welcome guest and fellow designer Vitakin, and politician Linda Wright, both adourned in eclectic and original Odile Jacobs’ dresses. There were also visits from Alexandra Golovanoff, the renowned journalist and fashion entrepreneur in Paris, Vanessa Bruno and Agnes Didier.

The Rue de Varenne was graced with the bold wax-fabric designs from the 21st to the 28th of June and Odile enjoyed her short exposure in Paris so much that she vows to be back soon. So watch this space for more pop-up locations around Europe and online.
